An altar server is a lay assistant to the priest. He or she attends to supporting tasks at the altar such as fetching and carrying, ringing the altar bells, bringing up the gifts, washing the priests hands, etc.
Servers should be mature enough to understand their responsibilities and to carry them out well and with appropriate reverence.
If you would like more information on the Altar Servers Ministry, please call the rectory to speak with Fr. Dennis at 845-252-6681.
